Hepworth Print Fair

Visit us at the Hepworth Wakefield this March.

Screen prints, dry point, lino, magazines, cushions... and more from PICA artists; Jade Blood, Rebecca Carr, Mark Hearld, Lesley Birch, Sam Swales Snowden and The Design Practice of James Lunn. \

The Hepworth Wakefield’s popular Print Fair returns in 2018 with a host of exciting stalls, activities and events celebrating the art of printmaking.

Held in The Calder, our converted mill space, and featuring a handpicked selection of over 50 printmakers, collectives and galleries from around the UK, the fair will provide a friendly atmosphere in which to find work by artists, illustrators and designers working in print.

Whether you are new to buying art or a seasoned collector, The Hepworth Wakefield Print Fair is the perfect place to engage with and celebrate all things print.

Families can enjoy free printmaking activities across the weekend. In addition to The Hepworth Café, a street food market in our garden will offer food, drink and covered seating for visitors.

Clinic Presents Poetry at PICA

Poetry press Clinic brings poets Rebecca Tamás and Edward Doegar to York to read from their new publications, Savage and For Now, along with Ágnes Lehóczky


Rebecca Tamás is a London based poet, working towards a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at The University of East Anglia. Her poetry pamphlet, The Ophelia Letters, was published by Salt in 2013, and she has most recently had work in The White Review, Best British Poetry 2015, A Poem for Every Year and The Suburban Review. Rebecca's pamphlet Savage, will be published by Clinic in March, and she is currently working on poems about witchcraft, occult female alterity and ecological language. Edward Doegar’s poems, reviews and translations have appeared in various magazines including Poetry Review, Granta (online), Prac Crit and Poetry London. He is a fellow of the Complete Works and a consulting editor at The Rialto. His pamphlet, For Now, will be published by clinic in March. 


Ágnes Lehóczky is a poet, scholar and translator originally from Budapest. Her poetry collections published in the UK are Budapest to Babel (Egg Box Publishing, 2008), Rememberer (Egg Box Publishing, 2012) and Carillonneur (Shearsman Books, 2014). She also has three poetry collections in Hungarian: ikszedik stáció(Universitas, 2000), Medalion (Universitas, Budapest, 2002) and Palimpszeszt (Magyar Napló, Budapest, 2015). She was the winner of the Arthur Welton Poetry Award 2010 and the inaugural co-winner of the Jane Martin Prize for Poetry at Girton College, Cambridge, in 2011. She was also Hungary’s representative poet for Poetry Parnassus at Southbank Centre during London’s Cultural Olympiad in Summer 2012. Her collection of essays on the poetry of Ágnes Nemes Nagy, Poetry, the Geometry of the Living Substance, was published in 2011, and a libretto of hers was commissioned by Writers’ Centre Norwich for The Voice Project at Norwich Cathedral as part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival 2011. She co-edited Sheffield Anthology; Poems from the City Imagined (Smith / Doorstop, 2012) with Adam Piette. She currently works as a lecturer and teaches creative writing at the University of Sheffield. Her pamphlet, Pool Epitaphs and Other Love Letters, will published by Boiler House Press in 2017 and her new full collection Swimming Pool by Shearsman also in 2017.
